Safety Specialist
Fillmore, CA Fillmore, CA Full-time Full-time $30 an hour $30 an hour Safety Specialist Job Summary Administers over safety programs and process, audits, inspections, and training and to ensure compliance.
Responsibilities Maintain written procedures, practices, and programs to meet regulatory safety requirements.
Execute health and safety programs Extensive reporting and maintain documentation for each program, by department/position which requires it Communicate guidelines, programs, and requirements to All managers and foremen in writing Injuries, accidents, and near misses Investigate accidents and developed measures to prevent recurrences Conduct post-accident /near misses Maintain environmental and legally mandated reports to include OSHA logs and reports Provide monthly effective training Create SOPs and work instructions related to safety while using machinery and equipment Establish safety performance metrics, both leading and lagging indicators.
Manage PPE distribution and safety Coordinate equipment training and related documentation Conduct audits identify safety hazards and implement corrective measures, provide report to management.
Site inspections and field audits Evaluates hazardous conditions and practices and develops hazard control practices and programs, provide report to management.
Assess equipment to determine if they are up to safety standards; keep track of audit and findings on Excel, provide report to management Work with government agencies such as OSHA to resolve complaints Requirements Bilingual English/ Spanish Regulatory compliance experience such as OSHA, DOT, EPA, Dept.
of Agriculture, City Codes Safety Training:
5 years (Preferred) Investigation:
